My Bio

I am presently an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT) with the Peel District School Board, one of the largest school districts in Canada, by population. The District encompasses the 3 cities immediately west of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This is my 27th year of teaching, the last 6 months filling in for another person on leave in this exciting position of ITRT. I have taught in Saskatchewan (one of Canada's prairie provinces), in Toronto, and in 2007, went on a teacher exchange to Melbourne, Australia. I return to my school in September to a new role, the computer lab teacher, instead of a Grade classroom, where I have done most of my teaching.
In my role as Lab teacher, I will be looking to use various technologies to engage students in their learning, make them life-long learners, and turn school into a community beyond the walls of our building, in the city of Mississauga, Ontario. Web 2.0 can help with this. This is my 5th IM course.
My favourite ice cream is from a local dairy and is found north of Toronto in the lakes region near legendary Algonquin Park. It's called "Moose Tracks" and is best described as "lots of chocolate and other things!"
